Standing Tall on Mother’s Day
Yesterday was one of the most special Mother's Days I have had.
My mom and I spent it with 3 generations of mothers in our family. This is the most important day of the year in my estimation.
This time of year is when I re-double my commitment to my mom and my campaign, Justice4mom. I started this because my mom was brutally mauled and attacked by my father, Mike Rinder. She will not ever recover and is still in pain each day.
I am very proud of the work I have done over the last year to support women and raise awareness and help other like-minded groups on the subject of Domestic Violence. Being a survivor’s daughter I have put my heart and soul into helping to end domestic violence.
It has not been easy. I have had to stand up to constant lies, bullying, trolling and victim shaming, from my own father, Mike Rinder, no less. But that has only made me stronger and to realize that what I am doing is important.
I encourage all daughters out there to support their mom. Stand up against abuse and Domestic Violence. Work with like-minded groups to make a difference. Groups who support women and work to end Domestic Violence.
Each of us has our own message and important forward drive we want to support. Mine is that there is never an excuse for a man to harm a woman. There are no circumstances which allow for such behavior.
